Things to Do - Forest of Dean & Wye Valley

Out & About

The Forest of Dean & Wye Valley is a great area to get out & about in, with loads of things to see and do.
Our local village of St Briavels is a pretty village with a traditional village pub, community-run shop and deli, and we even have a medieval moated castle!

Going further afield, you will find a magnificent river valley where you can walk along the Wye’s peaceful riverside walks, or take to the water for a spot of wild swimming or canoeing. There are plenty of pretty spots to stop for picnics or to grab a bit to eat in a pub or cafe. The Forest of Dean is an area of ancient and majestic woodland that offers delights for walkers, cyclists, and explorers of all ages. From the Sculpture Trail and Family Cycle Trail, to Puzzlewood and Go Ape for adrenaline high-wire adventures or Segway exploring. The area is also home to a bountiful supply of artisan food producers and local craftspeople.
